Step 3 – Calibration and Special Enhancements
Once your image has be digitally captured, critical colour corrections are made to the digital file. Adobe Photoshop, is the software we use at Fidelis to make all of the necessary adjustments to density, contrast, saturation, and overall colour balance. It is the goal of the Master Printmaker to calibrate the digital file to meet your creative direction. If no direction is given, the Printmaker will calibrate the digital file to match the original or sample print provided.
Restoration, enhancements or acute colour corrections (specified by the artist) may also occur at this time, so that they will appear in the first proof. These adjustments fall under the “System Time”, which are billed on an hourly (by the 1/4 hour) basis. Please bring these requests to our attention during your project consultation so that an estimate can be generated.
